Sometimes life just stinks. Yesterday was a particularly rotten smelling day. We were all tired and grumpy, snapping at each other. And to top it off my sweet hubby and I had an argument. We argue maybe once a year. We are just laid back, let it roll off you, kind of people. We are so in tune on the big stuff that the little stuff usually doesn’t matter that much.
That’s been one of the blessings of the trials we are going thru, we are together. No matter what, I’m for him and he’s for me. We’re in this thing together. We had to sit down, step back, and realize that our “fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world.” I sat down with the kids and reminded them of this too. “Your brother or sister is not your enemy. Satan is. He wants nothing more than to divide us and make us hurt each other when we hurt.” We need to do our best not to take our pain and stress out on each other, but bear with one another in love. Being longsuffering and patient with each other.
So this morning the song that came on with my alarm said “I will rise, out of these ashes rise. From the trouble I’ve found, the trouble on the ground I will rise. ‘Cause He…who is in me…is greater than I will ever be and I will rise.” Thanks Lord for the encouragement. So in the words of Steven Curtis Chapman…Bring It On!!! Let me be made weak, so I’ll know the strength of the One who’s strong, bring it on. You might want to check out that song on YouTube. It’s helping hold me together.
